I started mamaspeak with a commitment to the health and well-being of new Moms. mom I'm the proud Mom of a four year old and a 7 month old. My first year as a Mom brought excitement, challenges, questions, doubts, and especially lots of change. My experience of the postpartum period is that services are somewhat lacking, which has brought about the creation of mamaspeak.
doula I am a certified Doula (what is a Doula?) with the DONA association. I have also served on the Board of Directors for the BC-based Doula Services Association (DSA). Since 2002, I've supported many couples through their pregnancy, labour, and beyond.
counsellor My background and training is as a Counsellor specializing in issues that affect women. Before the birth of my first child, I worked with young women struggling with addiction and family challenges.
